Plume is proprietary software. Customers receive source under commercial terms; source access is not an open-source license or a grant of perpetual normal use.
Annual normal use
A renewable annual organization license governs normal operation. Standard and Extended are the only software editions. Trial and local developer entitlements, size bands and service agreements do not create additional editions.
Default annual renewal is discounted by 20% from the applicable contracted base annual price. The discount does not compound against the previous renewal. Accepted contract terms and agreed amounts take precedence over later catalog changes.
Expiry, grace and archive
The specified default is 30 days of continued normal use after expiry, with administrative notices but no entitlement to newly released updates. Archive operation then preserves authenticated read/search/export, backups, access recovery and essential security administration while ordinary writes stop.
Archive access still requires normal authorization. Renewal restores normal-use permission without reinstallation or automatically replaying old queued writes. The current kernel enforces its implemented license-gated actions; complete archive/export, provider and backup workflows remain unfinished.
Previously entitled source and releases
Customers retain access to previously entitled release and source artifacts for recovery and permitted archive operation under their commercial terms. Expiry does not authorize newer releases or ordinary normal use. Customer data is not deleted or remotely encrypted because renewal lapses.
Source modifications do not remove the license obligation. Licensing is not described as tamper-proof DRM, and the software must not collect message contents for commercial enforcement.
Infrastructure and services
The software price is separate from customer Cloudflare resources, external identity/calling providers, taxes and agreed professional services. Self-service support does not imply a signed response-time agreement.
Contract documents
This page explains the specified commercial model. It is not a license agreement and grants no rights. Final contractual terms require appropriate human approval; no approved agreement is bundled with this site.
