Plume is designed for a customer-owned Cloudflare account, with an IT operator responsible for deployment and ongoing operation.
Before you begin
You need an appropriate software entitlement, a verifiable instance package, a trusted release key and the local installer. Production Cloudflare deployment and the hosted commercial delivery flow are not implemented in the current development release.
The current installer supports local D1 and private R2. PostgreSQL persistence has separate local conformance tests; managed Hyperdrive and an installer-supported PostgreSQL target remain unqualified.
The operator-controlled workflow
Obtain the package and entitlement
Get a release you are entitled to use and verify its provenance. A development key or entitlement must not be used for production.
Review the installation plan
The local CLI and browser wizard inspect the signed manifest, hashes, compatibility and migration plan. Deployment credentials stay with the local operator.
Apply the approved plan
The local process creates the supported resources and records resumable state. A public website cannot deploy through a dormant local CLI.
Own the ongoing operation
Manage access, configuration, upgrades, infrastructure bills and recovery procedures. A database export alone is not a complete attachment backup.
Evaluation and purchasing
The licensing model specifies a 30-day Extended evaluation and a free local development entitlement. These are not additional editions. A public evaluation enrollment service is not implemented in this release.

Downloads and compatibility
Current packages are local development artifacts. There is no public production release or native client download to offer here. A configured distribution service may provide authorized packages.
